1996 Belgian inter-university SmithKline & Beecham Prize in odonto-stomatology with specialisation in local subgingival slow-release devices in periodontology.
1997 PhD in Medical Sciences (in the same subject)
1994 – 2015 part-time instructor in the Periodontology Department of KU Leuven where she was responsible for training and where she headed the halitosis consultancy department.
She now works as a supervisor in private practices.
